Hey there...
« on: 31 May 2006, 09:25 »
Hi all...

After finally aquiring some one else work user name I can get online and on the internet...

I have had a Golf for 4 years and I have to say its been one of the most expensive cars to run but saying that I wouldnt have anything else...

So Far my Golf 1.4 Mk4 has covered 98,000 Miles! And sad to say its starting to show soo I am looking to stretch out into a Golf GTi hence making a new home here. My purchase will be around Christmas time so between now and then I will be looking to seek advice on routes and what to look out for.

As well as give my advice and opinions on anything else that catches my eye!

So a hello to you all!

Hello and welcome

Grab yourself a GTi! I think you may find they're a bit more reliable than your 1.4?

Bought my 20v Turbo 3 weeks ago today and due to my forthcoming wedding have done almost 3000mls! I got it serviced on Friday and went through without any prob's, apart from 1 £24 engine sensor! Oh, and the car clocked round 100,000 on Sunday. Few cars can do such miles with such ease!!!

Have fun
Ben

Ello to you all...

At the moment my car is a little worse for wear... Its unfortunatly blowing smoke on and off and gets through 5 litre bottle of 10w/40 oil in a month! So the plan of action is to have it investigated the air breather pipes have already been checked and cleaned I think it could be the head but there is no Mayo under the filler cap, more than likely is the valve stems. I will take it to a garage to have this work done then put a little of work into the bodywork then sell it...

Currently it has 17" Momo GTR Limited Alloys
Lightly tinted windows
Alpine CD Player
Standard Front Speakers
Stealth shelfed Kenwood 6x9's
Alpine MRD M300 Digital Amp
Alpine 12" Type R Sub
Powerflow Tuned Exhaust

The audio is not because im an asbo earnin lunatic its because I enjoy listenin to my music with all the depth it should! (before anyone mentions anything)

Im more on the look out for a decent example of a Mk2 GTi but I will consider any other GTi model and at the end of it all my budget wont be big say £3000
