I love Mk2 16v's - so much so that I had to buy another one today   It is metallic blue/black - like a dark version of helious blue, 3-door, 1 previous owner, 86k on the clock and rare cream leather seats and door cards, leather wheel.  In excellent condition throughout and no rust.  It needs a bit of work - i.e. just replacing parts, to get it upto the standard of my previous 16v, but that only had 56k on the clock and sold for £4850 on ebay.  I bought this one for £2900 which was probably a fair price, but verging on the good.  This car that you are looking at Doc... I wouldn't ay more than £1800 for due to the mileage being 135k... For £2600 - which is what Volkswerks has put on the site - if you look around and are patient, you can get a better example. I recently saw an Oak Green 16v, 3-door with 80k and 2 previous owners sell for under £2250 - I just missed it unfortunately

By the way Doc.. if you don't mind an 8v, I have one for sale but it is a non-PAS small bumper Helious Blue version... its only got 40k miles on the clock and 1 previous owner who owns the VAG Indepedent Garage in Hampshire.  All MOTs and Tax Discs from new and a fully stamped history. Even the seats have the original dealer covers on and underneath are new.

I kept watching this item but have worked out he is bidding on his own item!

See link:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9873&item=4617648719

The car above belonged to the current highest bidder pms28.....

Then follow the link to his web site from the advert on ebay........

www.futureclassiccars.com

Then look in golf mk2 and the golf he is bidding to win on ebay is also for sale on his site

NOOB

yea i think I got done over when I bought the scirocco off ebay, but must of been the sellers mate. It was in the last 20 mins of the auction so bidding is getting frantic. I put a highest bid in for £450 which out bids his £430, by about £5 or something, he then matches my bid of £450, but because I had bidded that amount first I was winning the auction. I realised this could get silly and I could pay over the odds for it, so i sent the guy a message saying, if you out bid me by a £1 then I will not continue bidding on it, basically letting him have it. A couple of minutes later he replied saying he had gone over his budget anyway so he said that I could have it.....why did he match my bid then????!!!....so that it would push my bid up, thus making the seller an extra £20 or so! sneaky feckers!
