Identifying body colour
« on: 30 May 2006, 09:05 »
Don't seem to be able to find any colour code for my body colour? Where do you guys buy your spray from?

Silver GL 1.8 1993. (looks bog-standard silver, not a metallic <colour>)

look under the carpet in the boot of your car or inside your owners manual for the options sticker. the paint code is on there.

it'll be L***  where *** is more of the code.. for example my car is LC9Z.
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

Bugger, have checked this - there's no sticker and I don't own the manual!

Anyone else own a silver GL from around this time? Were there different shades of silver?

Just go ask a VW dealer.  They'll be able to tell you from the Reg.
