Mk2 16v - Whats this green wire for??? HELP!!!!

[Mk1Mad J - 16v]

I've got a green wire (off ISV Control) that goes into the engine bay and its got a single black connector on it

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE FOOK ITS FOR? 

I've searched through the manual but cant find anything after the single terminal, I cant find anything else that uses a green wire other than the coil and that comes from the TCI - is it a test lead maybe

according to my isv wiring diagram, it isnt supposed to be connected to anything!
