Hiya mate, it's not really worth going to the 259mm brakes, for the work you may as well do the 280mm conversion. Bear in mind if you do this it doesn't always fit behind all 15" alloys easily. It depends what you want really, but either way make sure the discs are vented and possibly drilled as well. Oh and if you do the 280 conversion don't forget the master cylinder upgrade as well.

Be carefull of competion pads, although they work really well, they don't always last to long! Guess that's why they're for competion's eh? :)

259 discs will also be rather hard to get hold of. They were never made for the mk2s.

yeah i would upgrade to 16v items or g60 ones also fit braided lines and uprate the master cylinder to a 22mm item. i have found ebc greenstuff to be a decent pad they are cool once hot and seem to last wuite well to.

you also need the 16v hubs and caliper carriers aswell as 16v brakes dont work with the one piece 8v hubs

I've got 16v disc's/callipers/carriers & hubs etc... & the 22mm master cylinder - no reasonable offer refused, I need the space
