Ignition Coil replacement

it broke down last night !! A friendly RAC told me that it definately coil.

Just ordered Ignition Coil and is it easy job to replace or it a b!tch of job?

really easy -i managed!!!. when you get the coil it will be self explanatry on how to replace if not get out the trusty haines manual

Easy as pie. We have had the ignition coil go on both our MK3's and replaced them ourselves.

two bolts and an electrical connection - 5 mins max.  :wink:

Cheers - let hope it do the trick !! miss driving it and last 2 days I had to drive Wife's Vectra, it not the same !!! :D

I found it easy as well, though I took of the plastic cover off that covers the pollen filter just removed the 5 or 6 plastic press studs then got to the 2 bolts that hold the coil on, sounds alot of work but it's not really 10 min job max

Well it not 10 mins job now ... now it 2 days job as they gave me the wrong part !!! goddamit :(

Told them it AGG engine etc and still get wrong one !!

Now sorted :) ... made some modification to the fitting and the car work sweet now.

Been at it for 2 hours rather than 5 mins !!  :laugh:
