with age the cables can stretch!? try a new cable! i paid about £4 for mine from continental auto spares, but replaced the clutch anyway, but the cable was 2 inches longer than the new one!!!!!!

is the clutch stil workin ok? or is it slippin? ... if it aint broke don't fix it?!?!

the clutch itself is ok but will need replacing sometime soon, the clutch cable on the other hand is brand new and ive tried adjusting it etc but its not helped :S thought maybe there could be another reason for it to be too high.

if the cable is new, and the clutch is high, its knackered! Will start slipping soon!
your looking at about £180 for parts and fitting

has the pedal always been high? mmines still high, but not as high as it was due to full new clutch n cable!

must admit i had no clutch at all though, i had no bite point!!! lol

i tried adjusting mine, but it was the original one i think so it was 10 yrs old!?

£180? hmmm.. cost my brother £50 inc fitting, but a mate did mine! Rain, where are you based?

Do you mean the actualy pedal sits higher at rest than the brake pedal? If so dont worry, its just a plastic pedal stop that has dropped off your pedal :)
Have a look in the footwell you might find it ;)

already got the clutch goner have it done in june. clutch cost £90 for genuine parts and mates goner fit it think it cost me £150 last time but he did break pads then too. reason i say the clutch is going is its sticking and thumping into gear and can be very hard to press down, thats the reason the cable was replaced thought was that making it stiff. but ill be sitting in traffic and lift the clutch rev and then thump straight into gear especially annoying on hill starts or parking on a hill :S

71567 CLUTCH PEDAL STOP  G2  0.40

It would be better if you pinch one from your local scrappy, as that way you can see how they're supposed to fit ;)
