Hi
I think I need a circuit board with the ABS and airbag bulbs on that sits behind the detachable panel on the right of the drivers controls. Any body got any tips about where to purchase and how much would I be looking at. My ABS light wouldn't play ball and when I removed the panel the bulb was black, it looks to me like its bust. Any help appreciated cos the mot is up tomoz. You couldn't make it up could ya!!!!!

Had the same problem myself when my M.O.T was up, ABS sensor went down then the bulb blew in the unit the day after. A replacement panel will set you back about £70 brand new.. There were one or two on e-bay recently... Best bet is to try and find a replacement panel from a breakers yard.. or do what my mechanic did and take the panel apart and re-solder in a new bulb. It's a fiddly job but it can be done.. I think there is a post on the forum somewhere of how to go about it.

Hope that helps :)

Just make sure you check the part number is the same as your old unit as some have three prongs and some four. I found this when i was looking for one on ebay.  I ended up getting mine for a tenner from the bay of e  I couldnt beleive it when i got a price from VW, £78+VAT  FFS!!!!!!!!
