Looking for my first MK1

Hey everyone,

I'm currently the proud owner of a 1990 Mk2 8v GTI, I bought it almost 3 years ago and iv spent the hole time getting it looking its best. Its the best car Iv ever had and I'm totally hooked on vw's as a result. The time has come to sell the mk2 and start a fresh with a mk1 GTI, obviously the mk1 golf is a much older car and is likely to have alot more problems stored away. Can anyone advise me as what to watch out for when buying a mk1 and what sort of price is expected. Also is lasha green a sort after colour?

also look at the cab review on the child board, that may mention stuff which covers both the tin and cab version
