Just been out in my mk1 and it sounds as though the box is gonna fall off. Constant metallic whine/grinding noise really juddery when accelerating up to 3000rpm in every gear and banging on take off. Stops when you dip the clutch. Specialist reckons diff is fcuked and i need a new box. Any ideas??? :'( :'( :'(
