oil spots by spark plugs
« on: 07 May 2006, 17:14 »
hi, was at the petrol station today putting some water in the washer bottle, when i noticed that there are oil stains at the sparks plugs. it looks like the oil is coming up through the plugs. haven't taking out the plugs yet to check them.
Anyone know if this is serious??

Thanks

it's unlikely to be coming up from the plugs.that would mean oil in the cylinders which would cause blue smoke from the exhaust, more likely to be a weeping rocker cover gasket.

ive had a look at the rocker and can't see any signs of any leakage. the plugs had quite a bit of oil around them.
