I have a misfire on the car, 1.4 mk 4 golf with new spark plugs and a serious misfire.

I need to know how to test my ht leads, or could it be my ignition coil??

Could it be a sensor somewhere?

Please suggest

unplug your leads 1 at a time, then try starting it, if the miss-fire is worse, then it's not that lead, keep going till you've tested all 4, if at any point it still miss-fires the same with a particular lead off, thats the one thats a problem.....

did you get the spark plugs from halfords? I put new plugs in my 8 valve recently, it said that they are the same spark plugs I would put in a scirocco GT2 1800, which i already had before my scirocco packed in. So i used them and it too had a missfire, put the old ones back in then it was fine. If you still have the old ones try putting them in
