What colour to TINT !

Hello there had golf for 3 weeks now still undecided on what kind of mods to do but i am definitely tinting my windows unsure on which colour to get , so if anyone has any good ideas or photographs  with some good pics  all and any advice is welcome trying to do some mods mainly cosmetic but money is tight so which mods are best to do first give me a clue

Not that I've had it done, but read an article in a VW mag about window tinting. One of the main points they mentioned was that even the lighter shades seem quite dark when they are in place....I personally would'nt like very dark black windows as it looks a bit cheap, but the lighter shades look cool and can improve security aswell.

I saw a silver mk4 with 2 tone gradient window tint and surprisingly looked pretty good!  Was silver tint working up to black.
Thought about getting mine done but im still sitting on the fence with that one.  Have a look at this website, cant recomend them cos i dunno who has bought from them.. but it'll give you a few ideas.

moonraker tints is what they are called i do like the look of them but i dont know if i would have them

i really dont like anything but plain black tints.. but its all down to personal taste.

for cheap mods scour the local scrappies for mk4 gti's the same colour as yours, and grab the colour coded goodies.. door handles, rub strips, mirrors etc.. gti smoked rear lights... basically anything you can blag that is a straight swap over to your car

Plain light smoke is the best, that moonraker busines will attract unwanted attention by the police!! anything on the front two windows is illegal, and they will not hesitate to rip your tints off while you stand there remembering how much you paid for em!! Believe me i know!!

Hmm, i wont be going down that road then Taf.. might like the look of them but on other ppls cars i think.

I had a black celica, light smoke all round... looked nice... was my own fault! i undertook a undercover skoda  they pulled me over and next thing you know a marked mercedes estate pulled up aswell and started cheking over my car. I was told that either i rip the tint off there or get the car recovered home.. not much of an option i just let him do it!!
But that moon raker thing is just asking fot it, stands out more then light smoke..
