I'm quite boring and like black (I'm an accountant what can i say  )  If i was looking for a funky colour i'd probably go check out some hot-rods for ideas (some of them look good enough to eat  ) some of the old watercooled dubs are into the custom colours too.

TAKING THE SPLITTY AWAY FOR THE WEEKEND DOWN TO CORNWALL, THAT SHOULD PUT THE TRUSTY AIR COOLED TO THE TEST, I CANT WAIT , I BLOODY LOVE DRIVING IT!!!!!!!

JUST THOUGHT I WOULD USE YOU LOT FOR A BIT OF BRAIN STORMING, THE QUESTION IS THIS::  WHAT COLOUR SHOULD A SPRAY THE MK1. I LIKE METALLIC PAINT, I WAS THINKING MAYBE A REALLY DARK GREEN, ALMOST BLACK. THE OTHER COLOUR I LIKED IS THE PASTEL YELLOW COLOUR, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE SEEN IT LOADS BEFORE

ANY IDEAS??

I would have to say that it was a top idea for the summer but beware those beasts cost the earth, it's something to do with the fact that you have all that space in the back and it just gives you far too much scope to buy things. Says the man that bought a 1979 2ltr bay camper last summer and have a very large overdraft.

 :cool:wicked. I just had my first weekend away in the splitt. It was really good, even my 1 year old seemed to enjoy being in the back. Only problem, it has no bloody heating. Also looks like the brakes need looking at as it was pulling slightly to one side. AND SO THE MONEY PITT BEGINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also sorry to sound dumb but i didnt know i could put pics on here with a camera phone, if somebody could explain how than i would be most greatful.

1st. You need to get the pics from your phone to your PC (data cable/bluetooth/infa-red)
2nd. upload your pics to a... er..... I dunno what they call them - www.photobucket.com 
3rd. post a link to your pics in this thread and we can see your lovely splitty

WICKED, CHEERS FOR THE ADVICE ON GETTING PICS ON. IM PRETTY CRAP WITH COMPUTERS AND STUFF THAT THAT, GIVE ME A CARB TO PLAY WITH ANYDAY

I DID GET SOME CABLE THINGY WITH THE PHONE AND I THINK IT CONNECTS TO THE PC SO I WILL TAKE SOME PICS AND TRY AND GET THEM ON TOMMOROW.
