AMETECH ENGINE RESTORE OIL
« on: 05 May 2006, 09:10 »
Whilst hunting about for a good oil additive to help clean / quieten my valvers tappets I stumbled across this ....

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/AMETECH-ENGINE-RESTORE-OIL

Anyone ever heard of this ??? I've got a BSc in Automotive Engineering and as plenty of the comments already say - I'm spectical to say the least; but look at the feedback !!!

Anyway I thought I'd post it up to see what people thought, or if anyone had tried it. Surely it's too good to be true right ???

Dave :)

yes seems feasible, im sure a rebuild is better but i smoke a bit ion start up (stem seals) and if i boot it mega hard a get a bit of a smokey puff out the exhaust. might give it ago when i do my next oil change see what happens. i suppose the worse that could happen is my engine getting glued together lol

mr mix ur an engineer wat do you reckon????

it just sounds like an oil thickening agent
