Engine revving not pressing gas
« on: 04 May 2006, 14:24 »
Hi

A new day a new problem

basically had been going down the motorway for about 50 miles stopped at a service stop to have a whizz and grab some KFS, 3 crispy strips, chips, pepsi (dont ever say coke to them kfc peeps go mental coke pepsi same thing to my taste buds ) and BBQ sauce)

So when I parked up car was in neutral and the car revved itself a few times my foot was no where near the gas pedal, could the hot sun yesterday down south made me hallucinate this ? or is there an explanation.

Is my car haunted

Evil is everywhere! inside my window regulators, my broken rear light cluster, cambelt everywhere I tell ya!

Could be the coolant temp sensor as it sets some of the idling up and can cause cars not to start properly when they have been left for a few mins. They cant be cleaned best just to replace them. There £25 from vw but maybe a bit cheaper from gsf. located around the block somewhere mines on the passenger side connected into the water hose.
