Front end (again!)
« on: 30 April 2006, 18:35 »
Right, this is my front end at the mo:

And this is my idea:

I couldnt find any decent sample pictures of mesh, so had to just texturize the grill area...

What it would entail is using a fine black mesh, and the spots will be mounted just behind the mesh, this should give it a single lamp look, but when the main beams are on you'll be able to see the spots on too.

I want to eventually put a smoothed and fully colour coded big bumper on, with led indicators put into the mesh.

This is being done to a budget of the magic £20 note, I just feel like a bit of a change...

if you look in my project section i made a mesh grill, never had the spotlights behind it but when i smoothed out the indicaotrs they are now mounted behind the grill. i've got pics of the mesh grill with the indicators on and you can see them perfectly. so it should be the same for the spots.

i now have a debadged grill with the indicators hidden in the grill, might not be MOT friendly but it looks smooth! one thing the mesh will show everything anyway so might look a bit cheap.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post
