Hi there!
« on: 25 April 2006, 23:55 »
Hi! Just joined the forum here! I got on a few of the other foums under the different username of aquablue (which I'll shortly be changing once I've done a new sig)! I have a customised 73 Bug which I've had for 14 1/2 years, but has been off the road since '94 after an engine fire! It's been put on hold though, due to doing lots of work on my flat!

I also have an Alpine white '91 GTI 16V that I bought last July. I've been gradually doing things to it since I bought it such as getting the shine back to the paintwork, putting the tinted window set in, crystal lights all round, new front brake discs, new pads all round, a new header tank, some new rubber window seals, a new kenwood stereo, Boston acoustics front components, the locks changed so they are all the same, a new rocker cover gasket, new plugs, rotor arm & distributor cap, a Stroeve motorsport induction kit and a Jetex stainless steel exhaust. Of course there are other thing, but I can't remember them right now!

The Golf was actually filmed for a TV program recently which is meant to be on on a saturday night in the spring! It's called The best TV ads in the world no.2. They re-created the original Golf GTI ad from the late 80's with Paula Hamilton and I got her to sign one of the original GTI sales brouchures for the car! So keep an eye out!

I will be sure to keep my eye out for that advert. I remember a guy from ITV ( I think) registered on here and was trying to recruit a white golf for an advert.

Think it's on now on channel 3 at 10pm! Called 'Best ads ever2'! Will probably be only for a split second though!
