« on: 24 April 2006, 00:33 »
Hi.. Ive been looking at the wheels on the black golf on your sig picture, are they G60 wheels? and do you know if centre caps can be fitted to cover the bolts for a smooth finish...
Cheers

I didnt think the bolt covers were available from VW any more? I think they are the same as mine though, so might be lucky in a breakers?

When I bought my steelies, VW apparently only had 3 of the black centres left, so I had to opt for the silver totally round ones.

Sorry I'm late thanking you for your replies, someone on ebay seems to have a limetless supply of new G60 rims!, before I think about bidding, I need to know if the smooth silver painted caps (9in dia, approx) that completely cover the wheel studs will fit... anyone know for sure?

Would be an idea to check how much you can get them at your local stealers for - ebay sometimes isn't that cheap!

Mine were £33.58 plus VAT each, part number 357601025M.

Round centres were £9.63 plus VAT each, part number 357601149DV7L. These completely cover the wheel nuts and are flush with the face of the rim.

If you do order them from the stealers, check them properly when you pick them up. They aren't a normal stock item, and when they get sent to the dealership they are just in a cage - VW only send alloys out in boxes, not steels.

Hope that helps

Dubby your a star  part No's is what I was looking for.. many thanks
The wheels on ebay start at £160, I think without looking, pretty much in the same ball park as the dealer items, with the vat.. only the delivery cost nothing from the dealer
Probably get some ordered next week........
