Thanks for the heads-up on this one. My 06 spec (built July 05) Mk5 GTI has blue glass and I won't accept anything but blue either. Fortunately my VW dealer is extremely good and I'm confident I wouldn't have any problems. Also, I wouldn't use anyone other than VW Assistance.
It's important not to accept the job and not to sign for it if someone turns up with the wrong glass.
