Who knows their stuff? (metering heads)
« on: 20 April 2006, 21:12 »
I've bought a mk1 with a 2.0l tall block (9a?), and dx head. It's got a cam, ported and polished head, k&n and a ashley 4-1 manifold.
The guy I bought it off said It'd be a bit better with a 16v metering head. Is this right?

could be down to the fuel supply. the 16v being able to supply more than whatever you have on there now. it would need setting up for your engine to get the most from it :)

Which is the dx head? Never heard of that.

Basicly a metering head is the main part of the mechanical injection system known as K-jet found on all standard Mk2 16v motors.

If you give more info about your engine maybe even some pics im sure we can help more.
