Hey guys and gals..
I have just bought a 1.8T Golf (W-reg)..Standard 150bhp - no mods - totally standard.
Anyway, i have decided i want to go for revo remap, but have a few questions..
1 - Want to leave my car totally standard..With this in mind, would a revo still be viable purchase? I know i should really change the dump valve (to maybe forge), but i'm an old man now (34 ;-)) and with a kid on the way, didn't want to attract too much attention..I know some dump values are very noisy (which is what i don't want)
2 - MPG figures..I drive around 20 miles daily (roundtrip) - mostly in traffic (i live in london)...Average around 32mpg...I don't drive hard, but would like the extra ummph when required..With this in mind, would mpg figures drop considerably with this mod?
3 - Revo, jabbasport, amd all seem to be names that keep popping up..I'd be right in assuming that Revo is a good choice for a re-map..
4 - I know revo do an option to switch from stock to revo'd, if i decided not to take this and just have the upgrade on all the time, would the car still be drivable in and around traffic? Any detronment to car?
I appreciate these may be vague questions but any help on this subject would be appreciated...I am planning to get it booked in for Sat in Surrey..
Thanks
