1989 8valve GTI - Is it already lowered
«

Hi,
I am thinking of buying some new shocks and springs. I am probably going to get a -30mm kit.
Will this be -30mm from the current ride height ? or are the gti's already on lowered kits?
thanks

8v GTIs are lowered 20mm, so you will be lowering 50mm from std golf height. there is a post on the child board about ride height that will correct me if I'm wrong!

The 30mm quoted is from the standard ride height so as an 8v is already 20mm down you will only lower it by 10mm. I have just fitted -35mm springs and as i thought it dropped about 15mm.
