Just got some calipers and carriers from an '87 coupe quattro for my scirocco (basically mk1 golf where brakes are concerned) brake upgrade. Question is, can I just use the calipers with passat discs and pads or would the only option be the audi pads and passat discs? , or should I go and buy the passat calipers? I've already bought the audi ones, which fit the carriers (obviously), are meant for 256mm discs, 20mm thick, so would there be a problem if I used the calipers with the passat discs? The only real difference is the pcd of 108 I think???
Also, does anyone know if there's a part no stamped on the carriers somewhere - can't see where it would be but I want to check I've got the right ones.
Then gotta work out the VDO gauges I got at the same time....!
