« on: 11 April 2006, 20:49 »
Alright everyone,

I've got a black Mk 3 gti with a fully genuine 17,000 miles from new!!!! Yes 17,000 miles. Its a 94 on the L plate, The only problem is i Bought it as a cat c damaged vehicle. The damage was just a bump in the Rear quarter and I've repaired it as my dad owns a bodyshop, All opinions are appreciated!!!

Cheers Matt

what have you got to prove the mileage is genuine?  all old mots? service hisotry schedule? reciepts? hpi reports.
how many keepers?

most of the time when you buy a vehicle dmaged from a salvage yard you dont get any paper work just the keys.

depending on the finish of the repair and if the mileage is genuine and you have all of or some of the above to prove the mileage then i would say its worth £1500-  £2000 at a push. pictures would be nice to see mate

Alright mate,

The golfs on ebay at the moment, Any one who knows anything about cars would be able to tell its only done 17,000 because it has the original factory front tyres and wheel weights on the front wheels and the boot floor looks brand new, the car also drives like new and all the switches and heater controls are tight and crisp.
