Rallye - I've found a RHD.... Question?
« on: 10 April 2006, 13:31 »
Hi Guys

Well I've missed out on the Rallye i was lokoing at.

However I have now found a RHD version. Is this worth buying? Conversion was professional done apparently.

Will it be as unique as a RHD... Easier or harder to sell on?

Any Advice welcome.

Thanks

Its just not right if its not left! It doesn't have the Charector!

Maybe harder to sell on.............................................

Anyway, driving one makes no difference at all really just the little stuff mentioned.

Allot of people say that it de-values them. But in my opinion i would much rather a RHD one any day of the week. And if i was looking i would buy a RHD conversion if i could find one. I once got the offer of a VR6 supercharged Rallye in imaculate condition with tons of work done to it. I so wish id got a loan for it now.

IMO, a Rallye's not a Rallye unless it's LHD, but that's just the way I see it.

I Know what you mean.. i am slightly put off.. But this rallye would be an everyday car for me.. Doing 25-30 miles a day along country lanes. I had convienced myself that  LHD would be fine. To be honest i know wouldnt mind a LHD but a RHD would be easier for me.

Howver i would buy either i think.

I didnt know if there was any major problems with the conversion.

Cheers

personally i wouldn't buy a right hooker, just wouldn't feel right. if it's been done properly you wont have any problems with it, although i'd imagine there's a fair bit of custom stuff under the bonnet to make it all sit in rhd format, something to consider.. if you ever need replacement parts etc.

I'm in a real dilema of what to do.  :undecided:

if i am using this car for everyday use a RHD car is gonna make life so much easier, just a Rallye really should be LHD, its the whole unique appeal. Insurance should hopefully be cheaper as a RHD.

Decisions.....
