SPARKLEY BUT NOT THAT GOOD!!!
« on: 09 April 2006, 15:01 »
Hello pepes
just bought a 94m gti 16v with full dealer history but sadly upset once i set about the beast only to find that after 200miles from recent service that the oil was minging to say the least and don't know when the dizzy cap had been changed or plugs, this gave away an over fueling problem after much deliberation found this to be caused by an inlet manifold leak and power steering belt was in bad state of repair were do you stand with a dealer history thank your monkey stars that me has a little insight in to motors otherwise pretty much crap for the german autos but that aside have installed 40mm DCOE throttle bodies from weber alpha injection which got back the missing ponies down by 25bhp on original setup now running a cool 175bhp after binning original ecu for full remap with weber igntion system verniers are the answer!!!!
anyway hello and yes PETER COOPER HAVE BEEN TOLD AND SO HAS THE PREVIOUS OWNER WHO WAS CHARGED £316.15 FOR THE !!£$45644 SERVICE!!
