Actually, been to my local dealer this morning to order the exact same thing. It's come up on their drawings that it's two parts, one priced at £11 the other £38. Apparently, they have modified this hose now and it has a metal cowling round it to stop it perishing hence the price I was told. They have ordered both as they unsure which part I require, and I can choose which one I need... My hose as split right at the block, so much so you can physically pretty much pull it out as it's perished. So I'm gonna need the part that comes from block and joins the other hose.. lol so I'm guessing that one is going to be the expensive one.
**Just got back from VW, and indeed the breather tube is £31.99+VAT
.. Has a metal cowl running the whole length of the tube, and isn't as flexible as the older ones and feels pretty solid. So shouldn't perish again *fingers crossed***
