external door handle modifying? anyone done this
« on: 05 April 2006, 14:31 »
im not to fussed on my door handles at the moment, they are black plastic and have fadded to buggery so i was wondering if anyone has replaced theirs with another kind of handle of a different model of car.  my mate heard of someone swapping the hadles for audi a3 ones?   can any one advise me, i dont want to be doing major modifactions, and if its too hard to change the door handles i will just colour code them but im after a more flush looking handle if you know what i mean.
cheers in advance for any help offered.

ive got delocked mk3 rear door handles on my car sprayed the same colour as car,
only will work for you if you have alarm fitted to your central locking though,
some polo door handles also fit but not sure which polo they are from.

yes i would like flush fitting handles but i havent got the time at the moment to modify the door etc.  i will probably go gor the delocked rear door handles on the front as i dont want any keyholes to encourage theiving bar stools.  only thing is i have no alarm or remote central locking it all works off the key in the door handle so any one know how much for a basic alarm which will operate the c/l so i can have delocked handles??  cheers in adavance

Have a look on ebay for remote central locking kits. Cheap as chips!
