Just bought mk3 Golf GTi 8v

:smiley: Hi there first post and all!  I'm a previous golf owner had 89 Mk2 16v golf few years ago and have had the bug since! Last few years owned a rover coupe (tomcat) which still own and love.  Just bought the Mrs a 93 Golf GTi 8v on a k, 106,00! Nice order taxed and tested £800.  Nice price i thought.  Anyway we have a young daughter and she likes cars (the Mrs ) :) and I'm just after a few simple mods for now. suspension i gather is suspect more so on Mk3? my Mk2 had full konis but can anyone suggest decent suspension for good £Â£? Any other tips either things to watch out for etc! thanks again and hopefully ill get to speak to some of you soon! regards Vinny.

hello

I've fitted Eibach springs on standars shocks. corners/looks much better ,ride quality hardly affected.

Has your Tomcat got the 2.0 turbo  or the dreaded self destructing k-series?
