thanks vaughny, I would have said hi to a few more people if I knew what people looked like. Didn't wana look like a numpty just going up to random people saying who are you?  :embarassed: I'm shy too! Was a good day though and there were some mint cars around. I'm mainly pleased that mine made it all the way there from Leeds and back with no breakdowns!! The wind and rain was scary though!!  :smiley:

hi all, well that was my first festival and ....well.... whens the next  :smiley:

only met slick, but everyone else showin their cars who i spoke to seemed great...found out some interestin stuff about that caddy.......ive got the same interior as it in my mk1, and i almost sold it to a guy who overheard us talkin to the caddy guy (Richard i think).....its meant to be v. rare....so now im keeping it  :smiley:

white/cream mk1 was schweeeeeeeet and my favourite....(where do i get thin chrome side strips from???)
red mk1 was very close behind.

took me 3 hrs to get there from Cardiff, then the 3 hrs back in sh!te traffic...hasnt put me off tho'

still havent taken the smile off my face yet  :grin: :grin:

Mk4 GT TDi::RS4's::weitec coilies::RCCR::polo mirrors::cream leather::
MK1 1.5 GL Auto restoration....coming along slowly :-(
its not the winning that gives me pleasure....its the taking apart

Just wanna say thanks to everyone that put their name down for the stand for actually turning up, think thats a first, and hopefully there will be many more like it, was nice to see such a large variety of motors all from one club. ( I personally think we were the most diverse and well turned out club there) Was good to meet up with the newbies of the forum, you all have some corking motors - ( vaughny, looked awesome in the rear view mirror on the way back, Dan - nice and very cheap raddo, GEM- Lush mk1 hun- if a little dorty  :wink: , tobz i love the oaky, looks spanking, and nice one funky for bringing the bora then cleaning it !! - and getting some stickers  :grin:, and phils cab of course, even though firmly under the thumb i think  :tongue: ) as well as meeting up with the oldies, (tesh, si, lewy, joe, joe, paul) cheers tesh for proving you can polish a turd, and yes si the strip will be done for the next show  :cool: -almost forgot i ran into ryan, alex, speedo and gtiedition aswell, top lads again. ( i know for a fact i have missed at least 4 people out as i cannot remember all the names - so sorry, but glad to meet you)

I personally enjoyed it, even if i did slice my wrist open whilst swapping the rad fans over whilst it was raining and in the middle of a massive group of show goers  :laugh:

Has made me realise just how much work i have ahead of me with this car, so the sooner i start saving the better. Looking forward to the upcoming summer shows, lets just hope that the gale force winds and rain clouds start to piss off.  :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

Edit: just remembered i also met welshgar - scared the crap outta me cos i was drifting off to sleep on the fireup road when he rapped on my window,  :grin: also blue, you are smaller than i remember..  :undecided: hope you get that door sorted mate. Yellowgti - soz was a bit pre-occupied fixing my fan
