injector cleaners!!!!! any good?
« on: 02 April 2006, 16:36 »
Just seen  something on sale which claims it cleans your injectors, adds more bhp, reduces flat spots and reduces emitions, all for £4.99. It was a solutuion that you just put into your petrol tank. I was just wandering if anybody has used something similar before and if it was any good. Seems a bit too good to be true.

I occasionally stick Slick50 through mine just to give her a bit of a clear out....bit more pricey at £15 but I do use the one that supposedly clears the throttle boddy and vlves as well....no noticeable performance but it does run a bit smoother afterwards

Never done much for me, if your injectors don't work properly, get them ultrasonically cleaned.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

I hear Slick 13 might be cheaper...But is a tight fit thru the injectors...

Stick the odd tank of Optimax through it, it does the same job over time.  If the injectors do need a clean the ultrasonic method is about the best.
