Dashboard light blown!?
« on: 26 November 2003, 10:41 »
Hello! just joined the golf gti family... i got a problem, when I turn on the road lights for my car all my dashboard lights up too except for the climate control knobs so you cant seen them in the dark. Is there anything I can do to check whats wrong i.e. is it the leds, some fuse or do i have to get a new climate control panel.. (costs!) any help or guide will be appreciated.

Would love to help, but I have a poverty spec PD150, so I have air-con, not climate  :-[ so I can't even go look at mine, sorry.

However, that said, would guess it will be bulb/led rather than requiring a new panel.

Thanks for ur replies guyz,

I think ive made myself sound posher than i really am! its probably not climate control, its just got the 3 knobs to control air, the a/c button and air recycle button. When you press the AC or the air recycle button the light comes on for those buttons but the light for the dial knobs does not light up with the rest of the dashboard. Is there any tutorials outhere on how to take the panel out??
