New Dub!
« on: 30 March 2006, 09:12 »

This is Millie our 1988 VW T25 Panel Van. She's a 1.9 water cooled petrol and she rocks!

THose going to Stonor Park show will meet her where she will be serving tea and bacon butties to the hungry members of this site!

Damn good choice horney, T25's rock!!!
Is that a set of merc pentas on it there??? Got a set of merc SLK rims that will be going on my 25 next month.

Check out these two sites:

http://www.club80-90.co.uk/menu1.htm
http://194.242.159.246/brickyard/index.htm

Both are pretty much run by the same people and have very useful forums.
Simon at brickwerks is the guy to speak to if ya need parts or want ya van lowered etc.

Cheers Tobz! Yup they are merc wheels. I paid £900 for it with 10 months mot and 6 months tax. THere is very small amounts of rot on the rear seams above the wheel arches and a few stone schips on the front, other than that it looks good, especially underneath. THe inside looks mint, no rust at all!

I'll check out those sites. I think the guy I bought it off in heavily involved in the brickyard site.

Nick if you've got a bit of seam rot remove all internal panelling and attack it from the inside. These vans are notorious for seam rot as there's barely and paint on the inside. Mine had some very minor surface rust so I wire brushed the inside of the seams and waxoyled it. In the summer I'll rub down the outside of the seams and try to give them some extra protection.

Here's my old girl down in cornwall last summer:

Well when I've got a new job I'm gonna spend a bit on it.

Lower it a bit, get the rims refurbed, maybe two tone the paint and generally tart it up a bit.

Cheers Nick, I think it's very 80's
One day I would love to put some gold bbs rims on it, get it dropped 60mm and find a gold raleigh super burner as the perfect accessory for my bike rack!!!

I you haven't already done so, check out the following site:

http://www.justkampers.co.uk./

They are great for parts and sell a reasonably priced lowering kit which gets pretty good reviews.
