Had the mot done on the missus' mk2 today..........

all it needed was two new tyres and it's good for another year!!!
Pretty good result for a 15yr old car, they even commented on what good order it's in underneath.

wish i could say the same mine just failed on a tyre,break lines front to back and an indicator bulb out!all good really its all wear and tear i suppose??

Yeah mine failed on brake lines front to back last november.
They were down as an advisory on the other halfs car last year so a couple of weeks ago I wire brushed them and they were still solid. I gave em a coat of waxoyl and they seemed quite happy with them this year.

mine had gone way past the point of no return!its going in tomoz get it back for pod!nice!

I had to have ALL brake pipes replaced, except for one flexy hose on the front,  on mine recently and I was dreading the cost but turned out to relatively cheap, it was welding that was needed after the brake pipes were removed and two of the clips that hold the front to rears on the car pulled through the floor and the other work that cost the money !!

But MOT now done a year and a whole year ahead before I have to worry about it again. Getting tax today and bringing it to the pod on Sunday !
