windows down and up when door unlocked

The other night i used my key to open the door on my golf mk 4 gti t , and the electric windows went down and wouldnt go up. i didnt touch a thing, i then put key back in and turned it left as far as it went and the windows all went back up ?

any suggestions as to what i need to do ?

You sure its not a full enclosure alarm that remembers the last setting of the elcectric windows?

nah, all windows went down to maximum and the back windows hadnt been down for months, all dropped in sync and then all came back up in sync....very dodgy secuirty i think,  puzzled

I know that on the mk3 if you either lock the door or open the door and hold the key turned the windows open or close.... acording to VW its so that if to get out the car and the windows open when you lock the car you can close the windows without putting the key in the iginition.!?!

is it doing it all the time or was it a one off?, havent had this happen to mine yet as full colsure option on the vag-com not open yet! (will be along with hijack mode and more when i get my usb-vagcom leads and software), if you know any one with a laptop and lead getem to hook up and monitor whats going on, all parameters can then be adjusted etc, but i dont know why its suddenly done it on its own, vw will prob have a look but charge you the eart,(uless under warrentee)

one off, but a few months ago, someone dropped the windows using a screwdriver into the lock also...

Have you got just the shareware version or the full one of VAG.COM?

I downloaded the trial one and it does look good.
