Blueflame exhausts.....???
« on: 22 March 2006, 14:43 »
Mmmmm.....

Am stuck in between getting either one of these, or a Milltek.

Milltek's seem to be the choice of the masses, but blueflames are looking a fair bit cheaper.

Look here>>>>> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-4-1-8T-TDi-130-150-Blue-Flame-Exhaust_W0QQitemZ8048409821QQcategoryZ38786QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with both/either?

Thanks,

ps Noise & quality are my concerns. If I were getting a Milltek, I'd have one WITH the centre silencer, to keep the noise down around town, but have a nice sound when booting it!

Decisions, decisions.......

This was the reply from Blueflame:-

"The system is a 2 box system similar to the Milltek layout - however ours does not knock or have the intermediate pipe cut and rewelded.
Best regards"

Am still tempted, as the Milltek will cost £300.

Has anybody suffered any knocking from their Milltek?

hsd my milltrk about year?? very happy with, apart from when there is weight in the back of my car i.e. passengers or weight in the boot, the exhaust does vibrate  ifferently and sounds bit like its not secured properly. prob just my problem tho !! other than that love the sound!!
