just got wipped!
« on: 25 November 2003, 01:02 »
i thought that that subject headin would get more looks!
anyway, i just had a spin in a friends 51plate civic type R
an boy it moves very rapidley, not only does it go fast it sounds effing mentle, i knew that i wouldnt beat it in my 150bhp T, cause as we no the type R is just a touch under 200bhp unless i'm mistaken! and made for speed! where as the golf is a touch more refined an leisurely!
i've decided to look around for a chip, so that nex time i see him i'l be a lot closer!
And b4 i get slated for being a prick racin round in me car it wasn't qiute like that! thres a strip of road in essex round the corner to lakeside shopping center  which is completly straight an one lorry every 15 or so mins no other traffic, an there's actualy organised meets every week the road gets shut off an ur free to pick ur opponent! so it was reasonably safe ;)
ive put a post on the tuning page asking for advice on which chip an where to get it done!  :D

Its all better now very shiny, but now the windows have gone again! and shocks are squeaking like mice!!aarrgghhh

like a cross channel ferry....

think you need a vr6 lump - get yourself a second car - just like everyone else here has.

Thats an idea but i cant be bothered to sort out a new one, this one cost enough, an its a bit quicker than a cross channel ferry!

he he - yep the Civic Type R is rapid - not as quick as my Accord Type R though.

Still - before I get flamed, it's being sold and I'm going back to my routes as I miss germanic build quality.

Honda - Fantastic engines, good reliability, only so-so build quality.

(In my opinion of course) :)

The Accord will be up for sale probably next Feb.  Should be around ?9,700 ono - 41,000 miles, FSH, Pirates Black, LSD, A/C, 9 months Honda warranty.

For info - the Accords are usually slightly cheaper to insure than teh Civics even though they're more or less equable spec and performance figures. Probably because its a saloon.

New they were ?20,000 +.
