Boge/Sachs Shocks from Eurocarparts
« on: 21 March 2006, 13:27 »
I am contemplating on getting some new shocks for the valver, and was looking at Boge/Sachs front and rear on www.eurocarparts.co.uk

I just have a few questions, if you could be so kind as to assist me?

Are they stiffer than standard Valver shocks?
Are they any good?
Are they shorter than standard ones?
And are they the "turbo" ones that I hear people talking about?

part numbers are 625440560 for the front and 625440190 for the rear

cheers in advance

I should prob post this in garage section but just thought i would aim it at Mark 2 people!

Neaty,

I recently got Boge Turbo Gas front and rear with Eibach ProKit springs having read many good reports on this combination.  I believe the shocks are OEM spec and no lower/stiffer....but depends on what springs you use also.

I've also been told and read that Bilstein/Eibach is a great set-up too.

is that bilstein shocks and ventura springs?

Because I have just got -55mm springs on standard shocks I thought i had better get some better shocks as I think my standard ones have taken a pounding!

I was hoping to use the springs I already have theyre just venommotorsports own -55mm sports springs, not exactly flush at the moment you see so was looking for some cheapish dampers that could do the job.

just whack the boge ones on then if your skint but they wont last more than a year or so on lowered springs i dont reckon. past experiences of mine are they are ok for a bit. get the gas ones tho they seem to last a bit longer.

Mines got boge gas shocks on the rear, and they are fine, do the job brilliantly. Lowered about 55mm, although think its closer to 60mm now due to spring sag. Not got a complaint about them.
