Cheers guys, sounds easy enough!

Is the windscreen seal a main dealer only part as i can't find anywhere online selling them? Any ideas on price?

Yup and if it's anything like the rear screen one it's about £75 which is not nice, blanket on the bonnet and push from the top quite forcefully to get it started then it will pop out. ;) don't cut it unless you have to. :)

Hmm, starting to have second thoughts about this now. So to remove the screen without cutting the rubber i just push out at the top?

The reason i'm asking is that my plan is to tinti my windows. I will be using all of the original windows so its not like i can just kick out the windscreen. Well i can, but i don't want to!

Your not taking your screen out to tint it are you  you can only put a sunstrip down to the level of oe sunvisors in the down position anyway.
To take it out put a blanket on the bonnet and some padding, get in the car feet on the top of the screen and push it with an assistant catching it on the outside, it will pop out of the seal then just work it around. If it's fragile it could smash so be warned

I am indeed!

Been reading up on it on the VOSA website and it appears the windscreen must let 75% light through and the 2 front windows have to let 70% of the light through. That's alright though as i only want a light tint. At the moment the windows look very clear with it being a grey car.

http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/publications/tinted%20windows%20information.pdf if anyone wants to take a look.

Trust me, if you cant afford to buy a new screen you want to cut the rubbers.  If you don't want it to crack, it willand if you were going to bin it anyway it will come out in one, it is the law of the sod

How about a top tint green screen, I got mine off ebay for a bargain price:

There was a good top tint screen in A1 down in wokingham... for about a day.  Then one of the gibbons who works there put a forklift through it to move the car
