Saw a nice Mk 2 today

On way to work this morning I saw a nice Mk 2.

Nice alloys, lowered, blacked windows, a sort of slightly orangey red.

The thing that made it that bit different was the rear panel. This had been taken off a caddy pick-up an was the section that has the VOLKSWAGEN in raised letters!

Anybody know this car?

was this around witney/oxford you saw this? sort of a cream orange i would call it. if it is have seen it drive past me for about six month, starting off as a grey mk2, then watched it turn into the car it now it, never seen the guy as he usually flys past. but i have seen it down the garage when its getting modded, going to pop in there soon and will ask then! to find out more. nice  car and sounds a beast!!!

thats levi's golf....  he lives in bicester about 200 yrds from me...he also has a spitty camper which i think is being done at the moment.....nice bloke and works in a bodyshop just outside witney....  hes a paint sprayer which probably explains the great paintjob...

What engine is in that. before it had been sprayed it had a High Torgue badge or something on it, sounds a beast of an engine. 

I wouldnt mind meeting him so i could have a look at the work done, as guess it was done by wizzard conversions in witney, as i see his car there alot. unless thats where he works.  may pop in there this weekend to see about getting my golf lowered as i hate its 4x4 stance and cornering!

just my opinon, yes good spray job, but not a colour i would have gone for. also has he done something else with the rear? like put different light cluster and reshaped the boot?

I went down and had a chat to Levi, told him about he was being talk about on the internet, so he jumped on the internet straight away and had a look at the site.

Sadly I did not see the golf, but heard about the effort he has gone too. I will be popping down again some time soon to get my golf lowered, once i decided to go springs or shock and i will get some pics if he is happy with that.

so watch this space.

Not quite the same area but close!

The guy came out of Shrivenham on the A420 and then turned right towards Wantage at the Faringdon Roundabout.
So not a million miles away. I did see the guys face as he was turning right I pulled alongside (inside) and we acknowledged each other.

I certainly wouldnt describe the colour as creamy orange, it was almost red.

not my taste at all, dont like the colour or the bad boy rear with the lexus clusters, but i love the Volkswagen

But the work has been done good, and would look a lot better in.... Black  :smiley:  Sorry Levi if you read this
