found out that you cant park next to your tent at gti intenational ,you have to leave your car on separate carpark,on edition38 website most people are not going because of this, just thought i would let you all know, dont fancy leaveing my car so i dont think i will be going unless they sort something,
ive emailed organizers and told them about the situation,
so let you know what they say when they get back to me

that sucks! i had just as much fun walking round checking out the cars on the campsite at edition38 as i did walking round the show itself. Was a good laugh having drunken conversations about the cars and tripping over peoples bbq's/tent wires!!
Wouldnt be happy at leavin the car either, wasnt there some cars messed with in the car park at inters last year??

That's due to fire regulations, there has to be a certain distance inbetween tents, and fire breaks every 20metres or so.
Every festival has to do this these days, so as soon as you've set up your tent, you have to move your car to the car park.
If your an exhibitor, then your car is on show anyway, but if you're just a normal punter at a car show, you'll want to show it off a bit, and at least park it where people will see it, not in a car park 2miles away.

Is that a new rule then? at Edition38 there was loads of cars amongst the tents or does that just apply to the show area and not the campsite???

Bugjam and all festies at santa pod allow you to park next to your tent. Almost all campsites I ever went to you can park your car next to your tent. From other comments made about inters this year it's probably a money spinner. :( or it could be down to Bruntingthorpe not letting you park next to your tent maybe the organisers will reply to the email sent and give a good reason for it.
:)

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

I do believe this is a new law, mainly because of what happend at last years Reading Festival, but quite why the same rules should apply to car shows is beyond me!
Skoda Octavia VRS DSG (soon!)
Skoda Rapid Spaceback

An a Signum for towing me old caravan!
