Gamma HU - TP Function
« on: 16 March 2006, 12:16 »
Hi there.

I've got the Gamma unit in my mark 4 GT TDi and yesterday I inadvertently pressed the TP button (I wasn't looking what I was doing while I was changing the CD and pressed the TP button instead of the eject button). Now it keeps interrupting my CD's for traffic info reports. I want to turn it off but can't figure out how - I've tried reading through the manual but the most informative it gets is "the TP mode can be switched off by exiting the function" or something along those lines - no info on how to exit the function, and I've tried pressing everything and pressing and holding everything... it's driving me nuts!! How do I turn it off?!!

Cheers!!

Just hold down the TP button again.

This works in my 98 passat with a Gamma, but my manual too, is about as usefull as a chocolate tea pot.

so you've no idea how you did it? arse. i still can't figure it out. i thought i'd done it when i just tuned the radio to a non existent station but then the radio tunes itself to the nearest available station with rds does it not? the only way i can think to do it is to turn the rds off... the manual was about as useful as a hole in the head. have to say, that's the only thing that'd disappointed me about the dub. never mind. i'll get there i'm sure. i actually considered disconnecting the battery. will that work?
