I'm new here!!!
« on: 16 March 2006, 00:27 »
Hi guys, as you may have guessed, i'm new to this forum, sure i'll get pointed in the right direction if I step out of line, but I must say its good to be here
My name is Tom, and I'm from the Leicester area, I have a 89 Golf gti 16v, jade in colour, and very much stock condition, I do bodywork for a living, and at the moment heavily involved in preparing race cars for the start of the new season (BritishGT) and historic racing...
Ok, heres my Golf related question, I want some steel wheels for my gti, but cant find what I want.. six months ago, I saw in leicester, a tornado red gti mk2 with a set of wheels that looked just the job! these were steel wheels, silver painted, aprrx 16 round holes around the face of the wheel, with a silver painted smooth flat cap aprrx 7-8inch covering the wheel bolts, on the cap "VOLKSWAGEN" was embossed at the 3 oclock position, the wheels looked to be 6x15s, with a great looking offset, the closest ive found to these wheels are the old G60 steels, or the "Driver"/Scirroco wheels, but dont quite hit the spot, I,'m sure these are genuine VW items.. any info, part No's pics would be appreciated, Thanks for reading
Tom

welcome to the forum!

I must admit I like steels, might get some G60 steels actually!

In fact looking at those ones on R&A Design, i quite fancy some of those!
