Good work with the new motor, fella! :smiley:

Just copy the text from the address bar from the page with the photo, then paste it onto a thread on here in between [img_] & [/img_]. eg. [img_]www.photobucket.....etc[/img_]  (But remove the underscores that I've put in :wink:)

Its a 1996 one.
The mk4s got some issues so i hope you can all help me out a little;
1) not sure if a problem but the drivers window goes down with one press of the button but the passengers window needs to be helf down to go all the way down.
2) on the right clocks the MPH counter there is a yellow symbol which stays lighted untill i turn the engine on, is this the gearbox and does it mean it is low and anyone know which oil it would be?
3) there is sticky stuff by boot lock and the rear washer doesnt work is this likely to be something i heard about the connection?
4) i've only got one key. is it true i can buy one off ebay and then get it cut and programmed, if so whats the total likely cost?
cheers everyone

1) do you mean when you press the switch on the passenger door or the switch on the drivers door? if its the former its designed like that.

2) not sure - what does the symbol look like?

3) your pipe has come loose somewhere - either in the boot panel itself or seomwhere along the headlining.

4) you can buy one but its then finding someone who will cut it for you; I've always had people say 'sorry mate gotta take it to the dealers' tho other peeps have said that most key cutting places will do it.  i guess it depends who you know, where you live  :undecided:

stealership will charge you a small fortune to get your key cut and or re-programmed. you need to find someone who has VAG-COM (software thats used to diagnose faults etc) and ask them nicely to do it for you.

Hope that of some help mate  :smiley:
