You may get away with it but may fail MOT for been very Loud

If it is a 90 mph per hour wind and you drive your car at 90mph downwind, if you stick your head outside would you feel the wind?

As above. Golden rule to remember here: if it's got a carb then it never had or needed or could use a CAT so no MOT worries (apart from the noise)

SAo what's the best way of getting a exhaust system with no cat that won't fail and MOT.

don't want to fart arse around removing exhaust before tests.

Cheers

I wouldnt bother personally, I used to have a straight threw zorst on my driver & it was good for about 5 minutes & then it pisses you off!! Think about it? waking half the street every time you go out! setting off car alarms!! having to avoid the motorway!! Not being able to communicate with passengers in the car! unless you can lip read!!!!!

I got a full GTI exhaust on my Driver, ive removed the 2 silencers / mufflers but kept the 3rd Backbox silencer. Sounds raspy now, a bit janspeedy, tis louder a bit but sounds like a wet fart on full chat! De-cat yours, it will improve it loads. Wont make much difference to noise.
I LOVE THE SOUND OF CARBS IN THE MORNING

LOL btw i also have a straight through system using stock pipe diameter didnt upgrade it for bigger piping.

results.
1. Better acceleration
2. Better sound i have a peco twin exit back box. Deep and Low.

Slam a jap style on the end and you will have a potential problem i suppose lol like my other car BUT BOY IS IT FUN TO DRIVE
