Hi how many key fobs should i get with a mk4 ? and if theres a slight judder through the steering wheel when braking should i assume its a quick fix with pads and discs or something more expensive like abs or calipers?
cheers

I got 2 with mine, & have never heard of there being a 3rd master key or anything!? :undecided:

My 1st guess with the juddering through the wheel under braking, would be warped discs.

Have a look here for some cheap discs/pads>>>>> www.buypartsbuy.co.uk

I got two key's with my Turbo and a plastic key (never used this....dont really know what it's for!!) and a plastic strip with key-codes (i think) stamped on it.

Bought my wife a 2.0 and it only came with one key....replacement's around £125 from VW only aswell...

Both exactly the same, chief..... Buttons 'n' all!

(Although the casings broke on the spare, & the stealers want about £80 for a new one, IIRC)

I've actually got another mint spare key from a totally diffferent Golf, but I'm not sure what is possible with regards to reprograming it/changing the key blade etc

You can get a new key programmed by vw, and it only takes ten minuites, and is quite cheap.
You can buy spare thobs of gaybay for a fraction of the price.
My MK4 turbo has two thobs and a plastic mould with the key cut number.

So any key fob can be reprogrammed to my cars frequency but wont the key be wrong and do you need to take anything to the dealers?
