Will be cheap for a maf, as long as you dont get stung on import tax, think they are about £75 at the dealers

It is cheap, look here...

Indeed like I said, just be careful, cause if you get stung you will have to add the VAT and 22% import tax which will then make it dearer.  If you are gonna buy, contact the seller first and ask if he will send it as a gift or exchange item.  This way you will avoid all extra costs

I'm on Hazels PC and it won't load the page fully so maybe I'm missing it, but, I would have thought a part number would have been helpful. I'm not sure about the interchangeability of the MAF but I have read that Bosch have brought out a heavier duty MAF for the TDI that should last a lot longer than the older units that only tended to be good for 70K. I believe the newer MAF's have a part number ending in 'C'.

I've also read that the MAF for the 2.0 GTI can be used on the TDI's and may work out cheaper :undecided:

Anyone any experience, opinions, thoughts?

There are a number of different MAF's depending on your engine code, let me know your code and I'll give you a part number
