Got a fuel probadly someone help please

Just been on a long drive on a motorway and my fuel was low the car started to cough managed to get to a garage and put fuel in but now it's holding back a lot in 1st 2nd 3rd maybe a miss fire anyone had this problem  how can i fix it thank you for any ideals

how low was the fuel?? if you left it to the last drop of petrol in the tank you might of sucked up some scummy stuff at the bottom of the tank, might be blocking an injector or something other than that it might be  your MAF (air flow meter) giving up the ghost, it might need replacing, common fault on the MK4

check the coil packs. pull them out and see if one is damaged or split in half

Thanks mate just took the injectors out and give them a blow through seems to me back to normal now
