Thanks for all your hels guys. Just looked on euro and vw spares websites, and their fuse boxes are loads cheaper. I'll phone them in the morning. Thanks again

:nerd: check for leaks first  :nerd:

I've just checked eurocarparts website and couldn't see them listed  they definately do them though so they're worth a ring 0208 697 8805, they do mailorder

To be honest, I've replaced 3 fuseboxes (4 if you count the one that got soaked 2 days after fitting ) and I've never had a fire  (ok once but that was an exhaust rubber ) they just wont start

If you can get it home, remove the tray under the dash so you can see the fusebox as well as possible and get someone to run a hose over the front of the car (and sunroof if you've got one) while you watch for leaks.

 You haven't mentioned if the fusebox is still wet now???

No its not wet now but it could have got wet as my car does leak. Keep meaning to check the sunroof but haven't got round to it yet  and I do have those little holes from previous wiring for the stereo through the scuttle area? If that makes sense? (I don't know If I am using the right words!  :embarassed: )

fill those holes while its dry, even a bit of gaffer tape will do for now (stern teacher like smiley needed ) that way you can check the sunroof, which with any luck will be ok. Then you can just pop round to your welder's and get those holes filled and you're sorted
